“TODOROFF Gallery ” grants a scholarship to a young artist
For the second time the annual awards of the famous wine cellar were handed
28 April 2005, Sofia . “TODOROFF” wine cellar handed the awards at the Second national competition “ TODOROFF Gallery ” and had opened an exhibition with the nominated pieces in the Bulgaria hall last night. Dimitar Rashkov had received the second award for his sculpture “St. Trifon Zarezan” and Juri Bukov – the third for the painting “Cheers!”. The jury decided not to hand the first award this year.
Ivan Todorov, the chief of the company, Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum /BBLF/ Chairman Maxim Behar, MPs Kosta Tsonev and Stefan Danailov handed out the awards for this year's finalists.
President Georgi Parvanov had sent a special congratulation note to the winners.
Todoroff also introduced a special scholarship for young artists. The first winner was Boris Peev, a student at the National Arts Academy in capital Sofia .
The “ TODOROFF ” wine cellar and “ Globul ” are joining their efforts for building a Fund for young and talented artists. It shall be financed by amounts from the special batch of the Todoroff Gallery wines. Each sold bottle grant one Bulgarian lev to the fund. Globul shall buy the first quantity of the wines.
“Todoroff wine cellar is the first one in Bulgaria, that specializes in produse of small, limited series of high- quality red wines. The wine cellar is equipped with the newest technologies. Todoroff's “Merlot Teres” is the only one in Bulgaria with a medal from the French Vinalies Internationales contests.
