Dedication ceremony of the 2004 grape harvest in TODOROFF Wine Cellar

TODOROFF Wine Cellar turned the dedication ceremony of the new harvest in a real holiday.
IIIIII TODOROFF Wine Cellar welcomed a lot of guests in the village of Brestovitza on 19 th September. A real show was presented in the yard of the cellar on that beautiful sunny Sunday. Entering the cellar, the guests passes through the special arch of wine, decorated with vine-leaves and real grapes. The old women were speaking words for health and wealth; girls welcomed the people with traditional bread and salt; and the colorful Dionysius and Cup-bearer treated the guests with wine and gave them with wreaths of vine-leaves.

II The old rituals for accepting the first grapes were represented. The show started with the fine dance of the girls and the sounds of the mystical Teodosii Spasov's wooden flute. The dances of our assessors were performed on the white sheet, stretched on the green lawn. The atmosphere became even perfect with the songs sang by Petya Todorova and Violeta Izmirova, whose voices are real pleasure for the audience. The Thracian dances, typical for this region, performed by the students of Musical Academy of Plovdiv, merged so naturally in the unique music of Teodosii Spasov.

I This show ended with the words of the oldest and the wisest woman in the village. The church ritual was followed-up by a lot of guests of the cellar and ended with the performance of “Mnogaya leta”. The event continued with tasting of TODOROFF wines and different specialties of local cuisine.
