The european wineorder honoured a bulgarian with a prestigious rank
Ivan Todorov, founder of the famous “TODOROFF” wine cellar,
is the first bulgarian, member of the Order.
Ivan Todoroff, CEO of the Todoroff wine cellar, received the wine order at an official ceremony, which took place at the Vajdahunyad castle in the heart of Budapest, Hungary .
The European Wine Knight Order is among the most prestigious private legal institutions on the old continent, whose members are prominent figures of the social and political life in Europe .
“Our mission is to disclose to all wine connoisseurs the nature of this noble drink, its culture and historical identity”, Todoroff said at the ceremony“.
"I totally agree that Europe is the continent of the wine”, he said. “The oldest wine traditions are rooted here, so the Europeans have the natural right for their own order of Knighthood”, Todoroff explained.
The order traditions date back to 1273. “Todoroff wine cellar is the first one in Bulgaria , that specializes in produse of small, limited series of high- quality red wines. The wine cellar is equipped with the newest technologies.
Todoroff's “Merlot Teres” is the only one in Bulgaria with a medal from the French Vinalies Internationales contests.
